1. Fundraising:

vendors.

fundraisers. (refer to ) Fundraisers involving items
produced by other
companies or organizations are limited to one per year.

Q: How does the

scheduled
events and their due dates on the CTSO web site or the home pages
for each
Technical Career Education division.
3. Approved Field Trips and Bus Companies:
Q: How would an
advisor research the approved field trips and bus companies?

obtained in the
office of the Coordinator of Grants, Projects, and CTSOs at the
Learey
Technical Center.
4. National Honor Societies:
Q: Is there a National
Honor Society for Technical and Career classes and who

my chapter?
A: If you're a new chapter, contact the national organization
to request a
welcome packet, which will include information and forms for

Established chapters receive a welcome back packet at the beginning
of each
school year. Many organizations offer the opportunity to affiliate
online.
Refer to the CTSO contact information for state and national

to track
deposits.
Requesting a Check: To request a check for payment to

need to complete a Check Requisition, which is provided by your
bookkeeper.
It is recommended that you allow yourself at least a week when
requesting
checks.

Q: What do I need
to know before planning service projects?

Q: As an advisor,
can I market or promote the CTSO to the school and the
community?
A: CTSOs may be marketed at the local school through the Technical

the
CTSO in the community may require additional approval through
the principal

at the Learey
Technical Center.
Remember, if the CTSO is producing a brochure special requirements
must be
complied with.

who are members of CTSOs qualify for scholarships?

Gold Seal
scholarships offered by the State of Florida. Check with the
individual Career
& Technical organization or the Gold Seal Vocational Scholars

program (www.MyFloridaEducaiton.com/brfuture) for verification
and
additional information.
