Open to all past and present students of the commercial art program at Tampa Bay Tech. The winner will have their work posted on the site in the NowMuffins winner circle for all time and pick up a little spending cash.

Some comments from the judges

I studied the eight entries in relationship to who would be buying and listening to that type of music and what would appeal to them. It may not be the best design but it would attract the younger buyers who like new rock music with electronic fusion.
First is cover design (EJ) It says electronic fusion.
Second is cover design (Amy) I liked the weird background

Students did a GREAT job, all my best to them in the future!

All were great. Tough choices. Hard to believe these are high school kids.

Must have attended the Commercial Art program at TBT between 1992-present.
You may enter up to three different designs.
Deadline
Must be recieved by attached email by April 10, 2004 10:00PM ENTER
Awards
The winner will recieve $50. image will be posted on NM winner page and a certificate with his or her CD design incorporated. Second Place - image posted and certificate. Third Place - image posted.
Judging
All qualifying entries will be posted on the site from April 10-17. The winners will be anounced after April 17th.
IT'S TIME FOR THE PUMAS TO RELEASE THEIR SECOND CD

The Contest:
The British band called the Surrey Pumas need another design for their second CD. The group is still made up of five members and plays new rock music with an electronic fusion. They like to call their music "cutting edge" even though they got very old. Their support still comes from the 16 - 22 year old market and the title of their second release is:

Brain food for the pundits

Instructions:
Create a front cover design for the CD.
Include the name of the band and title.
The size is 5" x 5".
Use any medium, B&W or color.
Submit a 72dpi JPG image
NO references to sex or violence.
