SkillsUSA had another successful national conference bringing home More Medals and registering more people (367 registrations) than any other state. Florida brought home 79 medals, 17 Gold, 40 Silver, 22 Bronze, 133 placed in the top ten places. Manatee Tech Institute, of Bradenton again earned more medals than any other school attending the national conference. This year's national conference was the largest in its history. They had 8,177 paid registrations and nearly 14,000 people involved in the conference. I know the auditorium was full of red coats for the opening session and the awards ceremony. It's an awesome site to behold. It still gives me a thrill to be there after all of these years. |
